From 23- 25 October, discussions, panels, oral and poster presentations were held under the theme\u00a0\u2018\u2019 \u2019Advances in classical breeding and application of modern breeding tools for food and nutrition security in Africa\u2019\u2019.\u00a0 <!--more-->This conference brought together plant breeders from 30 countries who were given the opportunity to share their experiences challenges and perspectives related to food security in Africa. For this purpose, MoBreed PhD student, D\u00e8d\u00e9ou Apocalypse Tchokopnhou\u00e9 shared some results of his research \u00a0which focuses on \u00ab Evidence of Recalcitrance in the Miracle Berry [Syncespalum Dulcificum (Schumach &amp; Thonn.) Daniell].
